Anyone engaged in any unsafe or dangerous acts must be corrected promptly. If violators fail to heed, then ejection from the range must be enforced immediately.
Note: In order to respect our neighbors, all shooting must cease within thirty minutes of sunset. Violators may be subject to disciplinary action. See local sunrise and sunset below.
- Firearms will not be loaded with live ammunition until it is determined by the shooter that it is safe down range to discharge the firearm. In the case of trap, the action may not be closed until it is the shooter's turn to call for the bird.
- The use of hand throwers, spring throwers, or any other clay bird throwers is prohibited at the range at any time. Shooting at clay birds can only be done by shooting at clay birds thrown from the Patrap machine. If you would like to shoot at clay birds (other than at scheduled times) you must contact a member trained in the use of the Patrap.
- When on the firing line, all firearms will be kept pointed down range.
- All firearms will be kept with the actions open when not in gun cases or racks, except holstered pistols and revolvers.
- Re-loaded ammunition may not be purchased or sold on club property.
- No alcoholic beverages will be consumed during shooting activities.
- When all shooting activities have officially ended, the previous rule may be suspended. Good judgement must prevail while on club property.
- No glass containers may be brought onto the range./li>
- Trash: you bring it in, you bring it out.
- When sighting in rifles and pistols, use the backstop mounds provided for this purpose. Do not fire into the ground or at objects on the trap house. Always fire down range and maintain awareness of the area where your projectile will impact and stop.
- Do not give your range key or combination to anyone who is not a current member and who does not have a current membership card.
- It is the responsibility and duty of the club member to brief any guest on the expected conduct while on club property.
- Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when shooting or carrying firearms. Small children must be kept under supervision and away from the shooting area.
- Safety glasses and ear protection must be used during club shooting activities.
