The Rod & Gun Club was first established in 1927 and was incorporated in 1928. Later, it became known as the Old #4 Rod, Gun, and Snowmobile Club, Inc. Our club continues to grow. Are you interested in shooting target, trap, snowmobiling, and/or archery? If so, you've come to the right place! For starters, we own approximately 60 acres of land off Old Claremont Rd., Charlestown, NH., Tax Map 106, Lot 55. The Organization owns and maintains a beautiful shooting range with 25, 50, and 100 yard ranges. We are currently working on the addition of yet another pistol range. We have a Pat-Trap machine, a Trap House, and a voice release system. Trap shoots are a weekly occurrence.
For snowmobilers, our club's trail system includes 27 miles of beautifully groomed trails for the enjoyment of our members and their families (weather permitting). We appreciate the awe and excitement that can only come from sledding through woodland trails, surrounded by the natural beauty of New Hampshire. We take pride in grooming our trail system. We own a Ski-Doo Skandic-SuperWideTrack with a custom drag, as well as a 1995 Tucker Sno-cat 1000 with an 8' AFMI Drag. Bridges are currently being repaired and trails are now being marked and prepped for the winter, 2012 season. See you soon!
Last year, 3D Archery was added to our growing club's list of activities. Watch for related News And Events. We are proud to announce that our first season was a success! Thanks to all who participated. Many new members joined and competed in our club events. We hope to continue growing this portion of the club next season!
